Semester 2
Semester 2: The second semester of chemistry is no doubt so much tougher than the first one. The reason being, is that there is a lot more math involved in this semester, which was not needed in the first. Some of this semester's topics are chemical reaction, names and formulas, chemical bonding and element names and symbols. Despite being really hard I am quite enjoying this semester, and I hope I enjoy the rest of the year.
Atomic Model Project
Project Reflection
Name of Assignment: Atomic Model Project
Subject: Chemistry
Description of Work/Assignment: For this assignment we needed to create a 3d model that correctly portrays the element that we were given by the teacher. After we create our model we need to create an edited video that shows our model and states the correct information for the element.
Which 21st Century Skill do you feel this assignment addresses, and why? I feel that I used the self direction skill because I had no prior knowledge in video editing, so I had to direct myself and learn how to do so, and I feel that I did quite a good job.
What are you most proud of from this assignment, and why? I am proud of my video because I have never done that before, and I was really out of my comfort zone. But I am happy with how it turned out.
How did you develop and/or improve upon your 21st Century Skill with this assignment? I think that I improved on it, because it was so out of my comfort zone and it was really hard, and with doing something hard for me, it will always improve whatever I am doing.
What was most difficult about completing this task? The most difficult part was making the full edited video and figuring out how to do a voiceover on my video.
How could you improve this work? If you could start over, what would you do differently? If I could do something different I would probably want to spend some money to get better rings around my atom. The way it turned out looked really good but the rings were quite bent, and it kind of brought down the whole look for me.
How does this relate to what you have learned in the past? For me it relates to all of the prior things in chemistry, learning about chemicals, atoms, and how to write formulas.
How can you apply this to future learning? I think that I can use my new knowledge about video editing if I ever need to create a video for something, or if I want to create my own youtube channel.

Semester 1
Semester1:Now I cant say that chemistry was a class that I was looking forward to taking, actually I was quite nervous about it, though I was completely wrong. I've never excelled in any science class, but this year was different something inside just clicked, I just got it. My teacher Ms. S is good at making sure that we know what's happening before she moves on. she has asked me on numerous occasions if I had taken a chemistry class before because I'm not just doing good in the class, she told me I'm one of her best students. The topics that we have covered are protons, neutrons, electrons, ions, isotopes, and the learning to read periodic table.
